During September 2024, FPG was delighted to host Stephen Feng CEO of Haidley. Haidley a business located in Qingdao in the Shandong province of China that focuses on food retail and food service solutions. During the visit, Haidley was appointed the licensed business partner for business development and manufacture of selected FPG cabinets for China.
The establishment of a business relationship between Haidley and FPG is welcomed by both parties.
Haidley supports a variety of customers including high-end hotels and c-stores who are looking for reputable, reliable food and drink display cabinets. Western brands like FPG have strong appeal.
FPG had considered that there was targeted opportunity in China for our food and drinks display cabinets, however it would need a trusted partner who had existing relationships with the right mix of customers. Haidley is a great match. The introduction was made through Jim Wu, Managing Director FPG Shanghai.
FPG CEO Robert Darroch commented that, “I am very impressed with Haidley’s focus on customers. They are very responsive and have great relationships with customers that span many years. I look forward to seeing the FPG logo on installed cabinets in China soon.”
Stephen noted that, “FPG sets a high standard in the design and engineering of food display cabinets. I think our customers will be very interested in having access to premium cabinets designed in New Zealand that are made locally to the global standard.”
FPG China will continue to operate as it has done over the years facilitating enquiries from across wider Asia in addition to supporting FPG New Zealand.
