We took photos in the FPG showroom of the new Impulse Plus 20H cabinets – one with swing doors and the other open front. We were all impressed with how great these cabinets look stocked and with the lights on.
So why are Impulse Refrigerated cabinets so popular?
Paul Campbell, FPG Sales Director says it is due to a combination of strong features which deliver real outcomes for customers.
“They are just so versatile,” says Paul. “From checkout cabinets to fabulous islands, their compact footprint means they can go just about anywhere.”
There is an extensive range of sizes across all three dimensions: two depths (Plus and Slim), various widths and heights. Options include open front for uninhibited access to maximise sales, and front swing doors to significantly increase energy efficiency and reduce total cost of life.
A contributing factor is the cabinet’s form factor – square right angles. “This is awesome,” says Paul. “They fit together so well and the square profile means they can be relocated anywhere in the store with ease.
“There are no awkward bits sticking out or plastic peephole fixtures on the front to have to contend with to get access to product. The display area is maximised for each compact cabinet. It’s all about product facings and choosing the capacity you need at a great temperature.”
The cabinets are also built to last. Paul adds, “With food display cabinets, price really does reflect the value. A low price usually means it has been made to achieve a price point. You get what you pay for.
“FPG is premium – our cabinets are designed and built to last. If you maintain FPG cabinets, they can easily last more than 10 years. We have cabinets that are coming up to 20 years and with a bit of TLC along the way, they are still in service. We don’t just talk sustainability. We deliver.”

Add Front Swing Doors and Reduce Your Power Bills
While open front cabinets are great for product access and sales, the option to add front swing doors can significantly add to energy efficiency and reduce the cabinet’s total cost of life.
To date, five popular models have been fitted and tested with swing doors. Australia and New Zealand energy ratings are as high as 9 stars and for Europe as high as EPREL B – fantastic results for FPG customers!
Paul notes, “Each of these cabinet models requires R&D and testing to deliver the best performance. So, if you would like a different size option fitted with front doors, please let us know and we will prioritise it.”
